Conferences

Our next Family Conference is scheduled for October 19-20, 2007 in the Boston, MA area. We have investigated a western US conference and feel that there is a higher concentration of families and researchers on the east coast. Our last Family Conference was July 2006 in Durham, North Carolina.

We have found it more difficult than originally thought to orchestrate a European conference - but it is still of strong interest, perhaps as soon as winter 2008.

The MLD Foundation sponsors periodic conferences where families, researchers, care providers, and other speakers are invited to meet, learn, and socialize around the topic of MLD.

The typical MLD Family Conference is a day and a half long. The conferences are not fund-raisers for the MLD Foundation so the costs are minimal.

We want to meet your family member so you are encouraged to bring your MLD affected family member to our conferences! A care room will be provided, if you need it, so that you can attend the sessions relaxed knowing that your family member is well taken care of.

Informal Gatherings

The last Informal Gathering that we know of was the afternoon of Sunday July 22nd in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Foundation is encouraging MLD Family members to gather informally to get to know each other socially. As we are made aware of regional gatherings you will find them detailed here and on the private MLD Family Discussion list. These informal gatherings are usually arranged by a local family and are open to all who can attend.
